We tell stories that make a difference
The name Okermoments came about when I started out as a photographer because ocher (in Dutch, “oker”) is one of the oldest pigments know to humanity. Traces of the stories recorded then still remain today. The warm colour reflects the warmth and humanity I wish to weave into all my stories, whether they be purely visual, include music, or play out in a video.
About Me
My name is Anika Lee Vroom, and I started Okermoments in 2020 while working on my MSc at Delft University of Technology. Now, Okermoments runs full time and carries out a variety of activities.
I’ve been taking pictures ever since I could hold a camera, and love that I can use photography to share the things I see in the world around me. This is why my portfolio contains everything from friendships forged at events to macro images of bugs crawling over leaves.
After completing a diploma in Acting for Stage and Screen in Glasgow, I found that the skills that I learned there, such as scripting, voice acting, and presentation delivery, applied to much more than the moments standing in front of the camera.
Sometimes clients are looking for visuals to match the voice overs I provide, so I’ve developed a clear and inviting art and animation style to get the core messages across, often weaving in a little humor and personality along the way.
I’m an environmental engineer with a fondness for tea, good reads, and globetrotting. When I’m not working or exploring the world around me, I’m usually drawing, dancing, or working on pet projects like my podcast, The Inside. I like to work flexibly and efficiently, and am always up for figuring out a new challenge! Feel free to reach out if you’re wondering if your project falls withing my skillset and would like to have a chat about possibilities for production.
